Varun boasts more than two decades of global operating experience, initially ascending as an executive within a Fortune 20 company and later transitioning into the realm of SaaS entrepreneurship.
As the Founder and CEO of FourQ Systems, Varun pioneered the foremost SaaS platform tailored for multinational corporations grappling with intricate intercompany accounting, tax, and treasury challenges. Under his stewardship, FourQ experienced exponential growth, achieving an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) nearing $20 million. In a landmark move, Varun orchestrated the successful acquisition of FourQ by Blackline for a total consideration of $240 million in January 2022.
Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Varun amassed a remarkable 16-year tenure as a finance executive at General Electric Company. His tenure at GE fostered a global career spanning over 20 countries and encompassing diverse roles across various divisions.
Varun brings a distinctive perspective to the table, having served in dual capacities: initially as a CFO buyer and decision maker, followed by assuming the role of CEO within an enterprise SaaS entity targeting the office of the CFO. He has personally navigated the trajectory of automation, transformation, and enhanced productivity within his startup and for companies of all sizes.
With extensive deal-making prowess, Varun has spearheaded numerous acquisitions, dispositions, and spin-offs ranging from $50 million to more than $2 billion in value.
Varun has an MBA from the University of Delhi, India. He along with his wife and two children call Westport, CT home.
